In 2022, I simply painted a background without having any further idea for the piece, and left it that way for the time being.
Art knows no boundaries in time or color.
So it did not surprise me at all when, in 2023, I got my hands on paint rollers and simply dipped them into acrylic paint and started rolling.
The contrasts that emerged reminded me of a city melting into the sunset. When, at night, forgotten spirits awaken and meet the living.
Hence the name “Lost City.”
